Denny serves as a vested partner in our Bossier City and Shreveport market. Prior to joining RML, he served as President of United Auto Dodge in Shreveport as part of the Penske Auto Group for seven years. Denny has managed RML’s interest in the Shreveport/Bossier City area since 2004.
Denny, started his automotive career in 1982. He worked his way up from selling cars to hold every managerial seat within the dealerships sales division. In 1986, he became VP/GM of Lake Charles Dodge in Lake Charles, La. As the hands on daily operations manager the dealership was awarded “Charger” Status for 9 consecutive years. This recognition was for selling over 1200 Dodge vehicles per year. In 1993 the team at Lake Charles Dodge was recognized as the Number 1 Dodge Chrysler Jeep Dealer in the New Orleans Zone and State of Louisiana.
In 1997, Denny accepted an opportunity to come to Shreveport and moved his family in 1998.
Since arriving the dealership under his direction has been awarded various Chrysler awards of distinction like “Five Star” 7 years, “Elite Five Star” 4 years and recognized as the only Elite Five Star Dealership for those four years in the State of Louisiana. Most recently the dealership has received Chryslers Pentastar Club award every year since 2010 which honors top annual retail sales performers. The team at Landers DCJR has been recognized as the #1 Volume selling DCJR Dealership in Louisiana since 2008.
Denny has been elected by his peers to represent them on Dealer council and now holds one of two seats for the Southwest Business Center on National Dealer Council. He currently is serving on the executive committee of National Dealer Council. In his time as a Dealer he has served as President of the Sunbelt Dodge Dealers Advertising Association and the Sunbelt Dodge Dealers Pension Fund for 8 years. Denny is currently serving the dealers in the Southwest as a member of RAC (Retail Activation Committee) which assist in planning by markets’ events and advertising to benefit dealers in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Memphis.
Denny’s dedication to the local community that openly welcomed him in 1997 has extended to supporting education, recognizing local athletes, and has offered scholarships each year to the best of the best of future young leaders in our area. Denny graduated from Carencro High School, in Lafayette, Louisiana and ULL (formerly USL) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He was married to the late Renee’ Davidson Rogers and is the father of two daughters and two sons, Brittney Rogers Collins, Nicolette Denee’ Rogers, Brock Rogers and Trey Rogers.
